The Dolcetto d’Alba Marchesi di Barolo “Bosset” is a wine with a fresh and crisp profile, where fruity aromas lead the more attentive noses to the notes expressed by the marasca cherry. Dry and well-balanced on the palate, it is suitable for accompanying the daily meals of those who never give up on a quality wine at the table. A bottle that embodies a type of drinkable Piedmontese red, to be uncorked immediately so as not to let its youthful and extroverted character evaporate.

This Dolcetto d’Alba “Bosset” originates from a true cru, particularly suited for the cultivation of Dolcetto grapes. We find ourselves in parcels with a good slope, characterized by a calcareous subsoil, where silt and quartz abound, alternated with layers of gray sandstone. The vines are trained on trellises with a guyot pruning. The pressing in the cellar of the grapes is gentle, and the must obtained from this operation ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with a maceration of 5 days on the skins. The production process ends with a refinement in vitrified steel tanks for a few months.

The Marchesi di Barolo “Bosset” is a Dolcetto d’Alba that moves in the glass with a shimmering color, halfway between ruby and violet. The nose is typically winey, with aromas of small red berry fruits that are enriched by a slight hint of aromatic herbs on the finish. On the palate, it is light-bodied, characterized by a dry and drinkable sip, from which a pleasant savory taste emerges at the end of the tasting. A red that does belong to the Piedmontese winemaking tradition, but with this label is interpreted by the Marchesi di Barolo winery with a particular depth, derived from its area of origin.
