“Luce” is the red wine ideal for igniting your evening when you feel like indulging in a wine of absolute quality. A bottle that comes from the collaboration between Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi, a genius of Napa Valley, at the Tenute Luce della Vite in Montalcino. This fruitful partnership takes shape with the first wine resulting from a blend of Sangiovese, which provides structure and elegance, and Merlot, which adds roundness and softness, made in this area, always dedicated to the pure vinification of Sangiovese for Brunello di Montalcino. A gamble that has borne fruit and deserves to be included in your wish list.
“Luce” is born from a wise assembly of two red grape varieties, the international Merlot and the other strongly identifying the Tuscan terroir, Sangiovese. The grapes are harvested between the first and last week of September. The must ferments for 12 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at a temperature that never exceeds 28 degrees, macerating on the skins for 4 weeks. The malolactic fermentation then takes place in barriques.it then takes place in barrique. It remains to refine for 24 months in new barriques at 85%.
The wine "Luce" produced by the Frescobaldi winery has a deep ruby color. The nose is broad and layered, surrounded by a combination of floral and fruity notes, with hints of forest and balsamic touches and evident references to sweet spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich, and decisive, with a sip that enters the mouth with a lively freshness and firm tannins. The iconic wine of the estate, which redefines the concept of "Supertuscan" and tantalizes the palate of enthusiasts and critics around the world.
