The “4 Vicariati” by Cavit is a wine inspired by the great tradition of Bordeaux blends. It originates in Trentino as a synthesis of the ancient traditions of a land long dedicated to the production of reds with the indigenous grape varieties of the region and the famous grape varieties from the Bordeaux area: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. The French grape varieties have been cultivated since the 1800s and have adapted very well to the cool and temperate climate of Trentino, leading to the maturation of rich grapes with intense aromas. It is a structured and complex wine, which, as per French custom, matures for a long time in barriques, acquiring a soft profile and elegant tertiary evolution notes.

The red “4 Vicariati” is a wine with a typically international face, appealing to a wide audience of lovers of rich and powerful wines. It is produced by an important reality in Trentino wine, which brings together numerous social wineries. Cavit manages over 7000 hectares of vineyards in the best areas of Trentino and produces quality wines, in line with the ancient vocation of the territory. The vineyards of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot are cultivated on the sunny hillside exposures of the Adige Valley, in the four municipalities of Ala, Avio, Bretonico, and Mori, from which the label name is also derived. The grapes are hand-picked and vinified separately with fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers and maceration on the skins for about two weeks. The wine matures for 18 months in barriques and small French oak barrels. Before being released for sale, it completes its aging with a few months in the bottle.

The Cavit “4 Vicariati” is a red wine dedicated to lovers of enveloping, rich, and soft wines, which captivate with a seductive and satisfying sip. In the glass, it presents a ruby red color with slight garnet reflections. The olfactory profile is complex and evolved, with aromas of ripe red fruit, currant, blackberry, plum, hints of berry jam, nuances of vanilla, noble woods, balsamic and vegetal memories. Structured and rich, it has a harmonious and broad sip, with a dense tannic texture well integrated into the body of the wine. The aromas are multifaceted and persistent, with beautiful fruity notes, accompanied by fascinating tertiary evolution textures. The finish is long, fresh, and balanced. It is a bottle to bring to the table to accompany second courses of red meats, roasts, or game.
