De Nebbiolo “Nubié” van Lo Zoccolaio is een Nebbiolo uit het Barolo-gebied, vol en intens maar ook fris en drinkbaar. De druif geeft grote tannine en geurigheid, versterkt door de rijping in alleen staal. Aroma's van bloemen en rode vruchten komen uit het glas, samen met zoete specerijen en aangename balsamische hints. The Piedmontese estate Lo Zoccolaio presents the Langhe Nebbiolo ‘Nubié’, an interpretation of the grape variety and the territory that impresses with balance and freshness. Founded back in 1890 within the municipality of Barolo, home to some of the best red wines in the world, the Lo Zoccolaio farmhouse takes its name from the homonymous locality located in Bricco di Barolo, where the estate exclusively produces red wines from international grape varieties and, above all, from native varieties. In particular, the production philosophy is based on careful processing of the grapes, carried out in respect of tradition while also utilizing the most modern technologies in the sector.
The Langhe Nebbiolo ‘Nubié’ from the Lo Zoccolaio farmhouse is a 100% Nebbiolo from vineyards that enjoy excellent south-west exposure and the peculiar microclimate of the Langhe, cool and ventilated. The harvest is carried out entirely by hand in crates, and the bunches are then vinified in red through alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks with 10-15 days of maceration on the . Also in stainless steel, maturation takes place for at least 6 months before bottling and further resting in glass before the final market release.
To the eye, the ‘Nubié’ Langhe Nebbiolo shows a bright ruby red color with a garnet rim. Enticing the aromatic profile, composed of aromas of red currant, blackberry, rose, violet, and resin that meet hints of licorice and spicy notes. On the palate, it is very balanced, fresh but at the same time warm, round, and quite tannic, with a long and fragrant finish. By virtue of its organoleptic characteristics, the Nebbiolo ‘Nubié’ represents an excellent accompaniment to platters of cured meats and aged cheeses or to first courses with meat sauces.
